Transformational Spirituality — East and West

in Blossoming of Pearls

The Vedic Literature and The Ancient Tradition of the Veda – Part One

The Vedic or ancient tradition of the Vedas of India gives us a time-tested model and tools that offer one to bridge both the Universal and Mundane aspects of the value of consciousness.

How do you plan to use the course material?

It is through the tools of Self-inquiry that help to bring clarity to higher consciousness and way of living in the world. Without having that understanding, merely applying Vedic practices may not be enough.

The course material not only speaks to the Vedic tradition as a way of life, on the one hand, it also speaks to the personal knowledge therein, to a personal intra-relationship to the process, on the other. These two pathways offer me a lens through which I can view Vedic counseling in the Eastern tradition (Vedic), besides my Chaplain communication from a Western tradition, I have gained not only listening skills but in knowing of Self, both strengths and weaknesses which allow one in demonstrating that the personal integration expressed to the innermost nature in the process [Self-inquiry] leads one to the divine essence of being; arrive at an inner becoming through the outer experience. My goal is to articulate and demonstrate the dynamic integration to express and share the materials.

Besides, and through profound understanding, this learning process has allowed me to understand the deeper value of appreciating the wisdom of the Vedic Science, even more, relates to the dynamic process that concerns itself with paths to human integration and transformation along life’s journey.

Listening abilities in the study of the self-inquiry process enable one to hear from the sacred heart (Anahata/Hridaya chakra) or at the heart chakra, function as an empathic listener, and respond as a genuine helper and friend at the holistic level to:

a) Reflect on several levels: to offer the learned Vedic tools that I can communicate to others that help others to integrate, and synergize in transforming one’s life experiences,

b) that the more integrated my skills allow caring and more inclusiveness with others, they will have direct input to healing

c) to offer a supportive role in integration that empowers one toward insight toward an effective transformation

d) to teach others to achieve a spiritual sense of coherence and self-caring, to the notion of (Self-inquiry), leading to the Sattvic level in his or her truth of being in the process.

Let me explain. My prerequisite before reincarnating is that I realized before birth, I was in this state of perpetual meditation, the quality of intrinsic nature of consciousness that I began to understand the dynamics of what was revealed to me as a state of knowledge and my relationship to (Asamprajnyata samadhi[1]): that I was able to discern and cognitively reflect whether to accept a relationship to the mundane world, whether to volunteer and to (re-incarnate) or not. Consequently, I began to realize that I would follow a process towards meaning-making to the collective chaos in bridging to the greater cosmic world of (Dharma) reviling the karmic one.

This study, reminded me to [awaking] to the ‘wokeness’ and in the process to finally see the minute details, of course, not without knowing the consequences of one’s sufferings, yet to be and to that what spoke to the many supportive developmental aspects and complexities of my life, that was to offer me, from a glance, and liken to a Lotus unfolding before the sun, to acquire inner knowing, via a personal; spiritual, emotional, and psychological lens toward the understanding to a systemic, step by step process during the life course yet to be. This is the reason we re-incarnate lifetime after lifetime.

This gave clarity to me in knowing that the study would support and fill the emptiness and open the element to an anticipatory grief at the spiritual and emotional levels allowing me to be open and respond to the critical questions I have been waiting to integrate into my life to my ultimate return since birth. In addition, the study gave me clarity, a method to a systemic ontological process, and the question of my spiritual and cosmic lifestyle/vision did I know that Vedic Studies/lifestyle is the “Way,” finally, I can say that is confirming, and that validates the journey in returning to the cosmic source.

So, the Art and Science of Vedic Counseling for me; is the key philosophy to life, and the fruits it holds, the Vedas, and Vedic and tantric mantras utilize toward the language of the Sutras or (Stitches) of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which are absolute ‘truths;’ gems that offer a blend of sweetness that offers a deep ‘cosmic allurement’ that is nurturing for the journey.

Thus, the Word/Vac is pure, and indeed “original consciousness” as I remember that we look for in this world, as “Sat – Chit – Ananda.”  I see the ontological question of [Tat Twam Asi] “Who Am I, [I Am That]. And as I look at the whole of the person; the emotional, social, psychological/spiritual, and the cosmic levels, (pure consciousness) I find that I Am myself.
