In the book, Heaven is for Real, Pastor Todd Burpo describes to us driving past the road to the hospital where Colton had been, says; “It was that conversation in which Colton said that he “went up out of” his body that he has spoken with angels, and had sat in Jesus’lap”(98).
Although my body was in the process of dying, I, the image of the physical, liken to a hologram, continued on. My consciousness simply was in search of getting back ‘home,’ to where I came from. Before proceeding onward, I had looked back and saw and heard the nurses and Dr’s all around me. I heard what the nurse said, when she asked the Dr. whether I was going to survive or not. In response, he looked at her directly, and in a very angry tone, spoke directly to her, saying: “don’t you ever speak like that in front of a patient in his condition like that ever again.” Then, with a sigh of relief said to her: “I’ll give him a 50/50 change if he makes the night.” My nurse, said, “he told me the other day he was going to die”. Well, with that I proceeded toward the light ahead of me…hearing from the angles, “follow the Light”…Here is where I felt a tremendous pull, or surge taking me forward like in warp speed, with billions of stars flying past me. Then, slowing up, bringing me to a complete rest. I was in the center of akasha (consciousness) where there is no space or time that I began to have clarity to my journey.
